Royal Vopak is the global market leader in storage and handling of bulk liquid products. At our 67 terminals in 25 countries we can store over 34 million cubic metres of oil and chemicals.

Software plays an essential part in increasing the safety and efficiency of our terminals. To develop and maintain our applications, we are looking for OutSystems Developers.

OutSystems DevOps

Saying that IT is important to Vopak would be an understatement. Automation already plays an essential part in all our processes, but with the rise of the internet-of-things and data analysis our field is about to get very interesting.

As DevOps you will play a defining role in the future of our company and you will help us to retain a leading position in sustainability, safety and efficiency; a position we have built up over the past 400 years. We prefer not to fall in line – we create the line; our position at the forefront of innovation is recognized in the industry.

Your job

Your business card will read Developer or Engineer. As part of a scrum team, surrounded by other OutSystems experts, you will develop and manage applications on the OutSystems PaaS platform. You will take on the role of (Lead) Developer or Engineer in a team that is responsible for designing, implementing, releasing, deploying and configuring innovative applications.

Vopak is a relatively flat organization; the atmosphere is pleasant and informal, but expect a lot of

responsibility. The Product Owner will give you the directions, but you will be the owner of your projects.

Our DevOps teams (In the Netherlands and Portugal) do not spend all of their time at their desks, and neither will you. Expect to work closely with users of our applications: customer services, terminal operators and even captains.

Working in the city of Castelo Branco, Portugal

Our head office is located in Rotterdam, Europe’s biggest port and one of the Netherlands’ most innovative cities. Our brand new location in Castelo Branco city will be an extension of our Global IT department in Rotterdam.
